FAQs

Here are some answers to some of the most frequently asked questions.

How extensive are your services?

I have co-founded and run my own businesses, been part of an executive team in a Fortune 500 company, provided global consulting services to companies such as Shell and SABMiller, as well as held Advisory Board positions. I have also managed product management, technical consulting, technical support, customer success, sales and marketing teams. Based on my experience, I can support whatever the challenge or opportunity you are seeking to address, across all customer-facing disciplines.

Do you cover strategy as well as execution?

Yes, I can also directly execute, but if there is an ongoing requirement in a certain area I would work with you to find the most efficient and sustainable solution to provide ongoing delivery. In these cases, I can set-up and establish the requirement and then help you recruit and train the resources required to ensure ongoing implementation.

What can I expect?

Identifying areas for investment and improvement is in some ways the easy part. The hard part is knowing what to primarily focus on and prioritising time and money to make sure that the best possible outcome is achieved. This is where I can really assist in nailing what is important and ensuring progress is made quickly and efficiently.

How do you deliver your services?

I can work in your offices or remotely or a combination of both. Whatever is the most efficient, collaborative and workable delivery model for you and your colleagues.

Do you measure outcomes?

It is imperative that clear and measurable outcomes are established at the beginning of each project. That way everyone is aligned and agrees on what success looks like. This provides the benchmark against which progress can be compared and outcomes can be measured and assessed.

How do you charge for your services?

I don’t charge for any discovery work that is undertaken or for any advice or recommendations that are provided, as part of the discovery work.

I only charge for the delivery of an agreed project. This will be charged out at an agreed daily rate, but this is only applicable once the agreed outcomes have been delivered. The number of days charged will be agreed in the original Project Scope of Work. If the Project Scope changes during the project then any adjustment must be agreed by all parties.

Are your services competitive?

When I was a partner in a leading London Consultancy in 2007 and 2008 my daily rate was £1250 per day. Today I only charge £750 a day but this can be discounted down to £600 per day for larger projects or for ongoing services. This compares to approx. £1000 per day from other providers, who only provide marketing services and increase their rates to cover franchise and other intermediary costs.

If you use other suppliers do you mark-up their costs?

The way it works is that I make the introduction between your company and the recommended third party vendor. With your approval I then scope out the work, negotiate the best terms and oversee the delivery of the service. The third party vendor then invoices you directly with no mark-up for me.
